PUBLIC NOTICE – DECEMBER REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING DATE CHANGED

RCMP SEEKS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE BEACON HILL – LIQUID STRYCHNINE
Pierceland RCMP are currently investigating two cases of domestic dogs being poisoned in the area of Beacon Hill, Saskatchewan. The dogs died between September 15, 2018 and October 8th, 2018. The deaths of two dogs has been confirmed as poisoning by strychnine. The death of two unrelated dogs is also suspected as strychnine poisoning. One other dog from the area is currently missing.
Strychnine poisoning can be fatal to humans and other animals and can occur by inhalation, swallowing or absorption through eyes or mouth.
RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed or have information about these incidents to call the RCMP non-emergency line at 306-839-3330. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can also contact Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or submit a tip at www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

UNABLE TO ATTEND DIV. 6 ELECTION? PLEASE SEE
Are you unable to attend the municipal election on Wednesday October 24th? If so, please be informed that all residents eligible to vote in division 6 are also eligible to vote by mail prior to election date. If interested, please visit the RM office during regular business hours (Mon-Fri. 8:00 am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm). Fill out an Application for Mail In Ballot, a Voter’s Registration Form and present office staff with your Identification.
After Notice of Poll is issued (September 21st) and the office receives ordered ballot forms, a ballot kit will be sent via mail to all voters who pre-registered. It is very important that once a ballot kit is received, voters return their ballots (completed as per instructions provided in kit) by regular mail, registered mail, courier or in person. Mail in ballots must be received by the office prior to the close of polls on Election day October 24th.
